Mission Statement
The
Assemblies of God Commission on HIV/AIDS for Latin America and the Caribbean exists to partner with
National Churches and organizations in HIV/AIDS awareness and education, seeking transformation through
reconciliation, and developing a compassionate response to those affected by HIV/AIDS.

Objectives
Indigeneity - Assist churches and nationals with development of locally planned and implemented awareness
and education programs according to specific needs.
- Connect and work with nationals to assist with needs assessment.
- Promote a compassionate response that reveals the love of God and leads persons into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Function as a liaison between strategic partners such as Health Care Ministries and the network of churches
in the LAC Region
- Provide networking and connectivity for those already working in the field with those starting new initiatives.
Help to export model projects that work.
- Promote awareness in our churches to stop the silence, stigma and denial that continues to cripple response
and interventions for those suffering with AIDS.
- Promote the team approach to meeting needs, not to control but to facilitate dialogue, cooperation, encouragement,
sharing of resources, reduce duplication and facilitate regional training.
